Staffers of the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Investment at various out-stations have been tasked to improve on their productivity, for the Ministry to achieve its goal of being number one in the ease of doing business index and maintain the industrial hub of the nation’s status.
The Commissioner for Industry, Trade and Investment, Mrs. Kikelomo Longe gave this charge while addressing the Ministry’s Zonal Officers at the Abeokuta Zonal Office, Ibara, Abeokuta.
Longe said getting positive results should remain paramount to the workforce, which she noted would encourage the Prince Dapo Abiodun-led government to continue to improve on their welfare, revealing that the Ministry would start a quarterly appraisal of workers’ performance and that star performers would be duly rewarded.
The Commissioner while harping on the need for team work, stressed that unity of purpose would help in the actualisation of the Ministry’s targets for the year, assuring that government would continue to provide the enabling environment for them to achieve their targets.
Speaking earlier, the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry, Mr. Olu. Ola. Aikulola called on the zonal Officers to reciprocate the present administration’s gesture of better welfare for the State’s workforce, by being dedicated and purpose driven.
In the ir contributions, the Head, Abeokuta 1 zonal Office, Mrs. Falilat Akinbowale and Head, Abeokuta II zonal Office, Mr. Yusuf Mudasiru, as well as Zonal Head, Ayetoro, Mr. Sunday Bajomo, pledged their unalloyed support to move the State to greater heights by exceeding the Ministry’s targets, while requesting for the provision of vehicles to aid their mobility.
