The present administration in Ogun State has assured that it would continue to invest in the healthcare system and upgrading of the health sector, particularly at the grassroots, where it has a direct impact on the masses.
The statement was made by the Chairman, Ogun State Alternate Medicine Board, Chief Nurudeen Adeleye, while declaring open a day workshop for the State National Mission Birth Attendant and Health Workers Association of Nigeria, at the Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps College, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta.
Adeleye who was represented by the Executive Secretary of the Board, Dr. Kafayat Lawal, at the programme tagged: Current Trends in Antenatal Care, Labour and Child Delivery, said the present administration would not relent in its stride to bring quality and affordable health care services to the doorstep of the people.
” This agency is not created to condemned or criticise any of the existing group of the practitioners, rather bring all of you together under one umbrella, so that the agency can help the government in controlling and register, in order to create a database, for proper identification that will differenciate you from quacks.
In her welcome address, the National President of the Association, Reverend ( Dr.) Elizabeth Quadri, said they are confident of the present administration’s support, assuring that the association would comply with all government’s directives.
Quadril commended the effort of the Governor, for his ingenuity to establish Alternate Medicine Board, at ensuring the general wellbeing of the people.
