Ogun State government has assured all applicants seeking approval as haulage revenue collectors of fairness in the selection process.
The State Commissioner for Industry, Trade and Investment, Mrs. Kikelomo Longe gave this assurance during a meeting with members of Association of Ogun Haulage Agents and Revenue Collectors (ASSOHARC), at the Ministry’s conference Room, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta.
According to her, all applications were being looked into, to ensure that final selection was done in the overall interest of all stakeholders, lauding the decision of the body to embrace dialogue and peace, as government was already addressing issues on haulage collection.
The Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Industry, Trade and Investment, Mr. Olu. Ola. Aikulola, in his remark also assured the ASSOHARC members of government’s eagerness to resolve all matters affecting haulage in the State, enjoining them to continue to maintain peace.
Speaking earlier, the Chairman ASSOHARC Board of Trustees, Engr. Abiodun Jagun, appealed to the State government to restore their haulage revenue collection mandate, assuring that they would perform better.
