As part of his administration’s new economic strategy, Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun has disclosed that he will prioritize the development of cultural heritage and tradition of the people.
Prince Abiodun who stated this at the 2019 Owu Day Celebration held at Oba Odeleye Park, Oke-Sokori, Abeokuta, said developing the cultural heritage, would engender social interaction among citizens, create avenue for dialogue between indigenes home and abroad towards facilitating development of their various towns.
Appreciating the people of Owu kingdom for their support during the last election, Prince Abiodun promised that his administration would ensure even distribution of developments across the state, pledging the fulfilment of its campaign promises.
He described the people as great warriors and urged them to continue to make right decisions that would aid the development of the town and the state as a whole.
In a related development, the Governor has renewed his commitment to improve people’s standard of living and create wealth for their individual prosperity.
Speaking during 42nd Isanbi Day, held at the Ilisan High School, Ikenne Local Government Area, Prince Abiodun said the welfare of the people was his priority, assuring them of timely completion of the Ilisan-Iperu and Ilisan-Ago Iwoye roads, which had been in a deplorable condition before the commencement of this administration.
