Old Students Associations in Ogun State have been charged to support government’s quest to return education to its former glory, as government alone cannot provide quality education for its people.
Special Adviser to the Governor on Primary Secondary and Technical Education, Mrs. Ronke Soyombo, said this at the Inauguration of Ogijo Community High School Alumni Association, held at the School Hall in Sagamu, noting that it has become necessary to assess the fundamentals of education in order to solicit brilliant inputs towards attaining greater heights.
She maintained that the current Administration was committed to revamping the State’s education sector and therefore needed assistance in ensuring the overall development and smooth running of academic activities in schools
Soyombo urged teachers to be diligent towards ensuring delivery of quality education in schools by employing the use of text books in the school library to consolidate teaching, adding that assignments should be given after each topic, in order to encourage research by learners.
She advised students to make judicious use of their time, face their studies and shun all forms of vices that could endanger their future.
