Ogun State Government has commenced laying of stone base on Panseke- Adigbe road, in preparation for asphaltic laying.
Inspecting the stone base work, the State Commissioner for Works and Infrastructure, Engr. Ade Akinsanya, noted that the project had reached an appreciable stage, reiterating Prince Dapo Abiodun administration’s determination at ensuring that all ongoing projects were completed in the shortest possible time.
According to the Commissioner, this development follows the completed installation of utilities and relocation of power lines, as well as construction of a cumulative 1,150 metres concrete drainage on the two sides of the road, disclosing that a reinforced 2m x 1.2m box culvert was also constructed along the axis to curb flooding during the rainy seasons, while a 500 metre-long walkway was constructed along the road to reduce risk of accidents.
Meanwhile, the Special Adviser to Governor Abiodun on Works and Infrastructure, Engr. Akeem Adesina, while fielding questions from journalists in Abeokuta, has described government’s infrastructural development as a catalyst for economic growth, stressing that the current administration would not relent on road infrastructure to attract investors and enhance agricultural development across the State.
