In fulfilment of its promise to revive the education sector, Ogun State government has taken renovation in public schools to Sagamu Local Government Area, just has work on 10 blocks of classroom would soon be completed.
Speaking with newsmen in Sagamu, the Engineer in charge of the on-going construction work, Engr. Raphael Ugwu revealed that similar work was on-going in five other schools in the area, noting that this measure would further improve the condition of learning.
He enumerated the projects to include; three classrooms at A.U.D primary school, Isale-Oko, two at St. Paul Primary school, two at Ijoku Oba Sonariwo primary school, Sabo, and three at Muslim High School, with construction of a hall at St. Colooncille Primary school, Batoro community.
Engr. Ugwu affirmed that, with the level of commitment demonstrated by government in the area of mobilisation, the projects would be completed on time without compromising standard.
Also speaking, Artisans at work, Mr Shittu Fatai and Mr. Kehinde Demeri lauded the government for spreading the dividend of democracy by patronising local artisans, saying the gesture had improved their standard of living.
Commenting, students of Muslim High School, Sabo, Roqueebat Adebayo and Nofisat Adeniyi, appreciated Governor Abiodun for the construction and renovation works, appealing to the government to provide them a library, school hall, laboratory and furniture to complement existing infrastructures.
