The Ogun State Government through its Ministry of Rural Development, will tomorrow Tuesday, April 10, 2018, hold a one-day Conference on Mini-Grid Development / Rural Electrification, with the theme, ‘’ Energising Sustainable Rural Development in Ogun State.’’
A release signed by the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry, Rev. Gbele Olugbebi, indicated that the programme will take place at the Banquet Hall, Cultural Centre, Kuto, Abeokuta, and is expected to be declared open by the State Deputy Governor, Chief (Mrs.) Yetunde Onanuga.
The programme, according to the release, would feature discussions by stakeholders in the Mini-Grid space of Nigeria and beyond, on the Rural Electrification Plan of the State and chart a path for electrification of its rural communities.
Other guests expected at the event included representatives from the Federal Rural Electrification Agency, German Agency for International Development (GIZ), Nigerian Energy Support Programme (NESP) and Central Bank of Nigerian (CBN) among others.
