The Ogun State Government has reaffirmed its commitment to further develop basic education in the State through the provision of necessary infrastructure to promote learning.

The Chairman of the State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), Alhaji Olatunde Okewole, stated this during the commissioning of an ultra modern block of three classrooms, held recently at St. Peter’s Primary School, Joga-Orile, Yewa North Local Government Area of the State.

Okewole maintained that education as vehicle which drives socio-economic development would continue to be prioritised towards ensuring that every child of school age has unhindered access to basic education.

‘’We will remain in our commitment to the continued and endless development of the basic education sub-sector so as to maintain the enviable position among our contemporaries.’’ He submitted.

He commended the gesture of the stakeholders at ensuring the timely completion of the project, urging them to continue in the trend of partnering with the government towards attaining its goals.

On his part, the Head teacher of the School, Mr. Adejuwon Olaosebikan appreciated the concerted efforts of the State Government, imploring the government as well as other stakeholders to continue to render necessary assistance to the school, pledging that the facility would be well maintained.
