OGUN KICKS OFF ACTIVITIES FOR 2019 INDEPENDENCE CELEBRATION

Ogun State Government will tomorrow Friday September 27, 2019 commence activities for 59th Independence Anniversary of Nigeria, with a special Jumat Service at the Central Mosque, Kobiti, Abeokuta by 1:00pm, while an Inter-Denominational Church Service will hold at the Cathedral of St. Peter, Ake, Abeokuta, on Sunday, September 29, 2019 by 10:00am.

A release signed by the Secretary to the State Government, Mr. Tokunbo Talabi, stated that the Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun would lead other top Government functionaries, traditional rulers and other distinguished invitees to grace the events.

The release also stated that the grand finale will come up on Tuesday, October 1, 2019 at the M.K.O Abiola Stadium by 10am, with a parade by the Armed Forces, the Police and March past by various schools, Labour Unions, Trade Groups and Voluntary Organizations among others, where the Governor will take the Salute.

It enjoined all invited guests, top government functionaries and civil servants to be seated by 9.30am.
