Ogun State Workers have been charged to intensify efforts at growing the State’s Internally Generated Revenue and embark on activities that would boost its development.
The Head of Service, TPL. Amope Chokor who stated this in her office at Oke- Mosan, Abeokuta, tasked Ministries, Departments and Agencies to go through their targets for the year and ensure that pending assignments were quickly executed.
“I welcome our officers back to work after the COVID- 19 lockdown, following the directive of the Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun that workers should resume fully to work. I expect agencies to go through their programmes and put in place activities that will grow the economy.
‘’Considering the fact that the price of crude oil, Nigeria’s main source of income is at lowest ebb, it is what we generate as a State that will help us grow and it is from this our salaries will be paid. I believe that very soon, Ogun State will be back on its feet”, she said.
The Head of Service advised Civil Servants on continuous observation of necessary protocols to mitigate the Covid-19 pandemic, in order to curtail community transmission of the virus.
