The Ogun State Head of Service, Engr. Olanrewaju Bisiriyu, has eulogized the outgoing Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Special duties and Acting General Manager, Water Corporation, Engr. Mrs Monsurat Agboola, for her immense contribution to the development of the State.

Speaking at the retirement farewell service held at the Corporation’s Headquarters, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, Bisiriyu lauded Engr. Agboola for her dedication, consistency, honesty, loyalty and determination to succeed throughout her years in service, adding that she made meaningful contributions, not only in the Water Corporation, but also in the State Civil Service.

He said she was able to restructure the Corporation by opening its laboratory to international audit, as well as trained its staff to acquire more technical capabilities that meet global best practices, noting that the feat has gone a long way in improving service delivery in the State.

While admonishing members of staff to be more dedicated to duties, the Head of Service expressed the need for them to conduct themselves professionally, to continue improving on the fortune of the Corporation.

In her response, Engr. Agboola appreciated God for sustaining and giving her the opportunity to serve in the same Corporation, where the number one Civil Servant had served, saying the modest achievement recorded by the agency was as a result of perseverance, commitment, dedication and loyalty of members of staff.

She equally enjoined the staff to maintain the standard the organisation was noted for by redoubling their efforts and breaking new grounds, in order to render more selfless services to the people of the State, thanking the HoS, the Permanent Secretary, Service Matters, Mrs. Modupe Bosede and other members of staff for coming to celebrate her retirement, which also coincided with her 60th birthday and wedding anniversary.
