Ogun State Head of Service, Engr. Lanre Bisiriyu has charged Civil and Public Servants in the State to ensure they perform their civic responsibility by electing candidates of their choice, without involving in partisan politics.
Addressing Bodies of Permanent Secretaries, heads of agencies and parastatals in his office at Oke- Mosan, Abeokuta, Bisiriyu tasked them to charge staff in their various agencies on the need to diligently carry out their civic responsibilities and conduct themselves in a manner that would not put the service in disrepute during and after the elections.
He noted that, as drivers of government policies and programmes, Civil Servants should not engage in active politics but be loyal to the government of the day, cautioning against involving in the election process.
The HoS enjoined workers to be good ambassadors of the State in the course of interfacing with the public, as the State is now widely known as the investment destination of choice.
