The process of providing qualitative and focused leadership that would take Ogun State to the next level has commenced with the Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun meeting with Heads of Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs).
Fielding questions from newsmen at Iperu, venue of the meeting, the Head of Service, Engr. Lanre Bisiriyu, said the essence of the meeting was to find lasting solutions to challenges confronting MDAs.
According to the Head of Service, “the present government has to start the job in earnest, look into the present situation of things and see what could be done to ensure progress and development in all areas”.
He said for the administration to realise its set goals, it needed to know the current status in the education, health, agriculture, infrastructure sectors, among others, expressing optimism that decisions reached at the end of the meeting would help in finding solutions to the challenges confronting the State.
Speaking on education, the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, Mr. Olu-Ola Aikulola, stressed the need for improved infrastructure, funding and commitments of the parents, as well as the students, to move the sector forward.
