OGUN FIRST LADY VISITS SUMMER CAMP; DECORATES GEFTY AMBASSADORS

Wife of the Ogun State Governor and President UPLIFT Development Foundation, Dr. (Mrs.) Olufunso Amosun has urged children at the ongoing 2018 Summer Camp to be environmentally sensitive by engaging in activities that would prevent it from further degradation.

Mrs. Amosun who gave the charge during an unscheduled visit to the camp, said youths should be at the vanguard of spreading the message against environmental degradation, so as to protect the earth for future generations.

“It is in your own interest to stay in a clean and safe environment and ensure you live a healthy life”, She said.

She seized the occasion to decorate the campers as Green Education for the Youths (GEFTY) Ambassadors and enjoined them to avoid dumping waste indiscriminately, charging them to impact positively on the lives of those they came in contact with.

The Wife of the Governor commended the efforts of the Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Mrs. Modupe Mujota and her team, for seeing to the smooth running of the programme.

Appreciating the first lady, on behalf of other Campers, Miss Hasanat Kuku of Muslim High School, Ijebu-Ode, thanked her for the visit, saying it has enlivened their spirit.
