Agro Renewable International Limited (ARMI), have been assured of more Agricultural support by the State’s Ministry of Agriculture, in the areas of Mechanisation, Land clearing, Partnership engagements, linkage to finance and availability of enabling environment, in line with the present administration’s Agricultural agenda on food security and nutrition.
Commissioner for Agriculture, Dr. Adeola Odedina gave the assurance in his office at Oke -Mosan, Abeokuta, while playing host to top management team of the company, led by the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Mustapha Adedapo.
He noted that government would continue to engage, train and support private farm owners through the State Agricultural Development Programme (OGADEP), to meet standard Agricultural practice at enhancing productivity.
Odedina who stated that the ministry’s demonstration farms and laboratories were technology-based and research oriented that would enhance agricultural best practices, expressed delight in the ARMI’s farming system, which he described as youths friendly.
He pointed out that Prince Dapo Abiodun-led administration has created opportunities for private farmers, with a view to rendering assistance in varied Agricultural areas, affirming that the State was blessed with lots of experienced extension agents.
Contributing, the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Agriculture, Dr. Angel Adelaja-Kuye and Permanent Secretary in the Ministry, Dr. Dotun Sorunke, affirmed that the collaboration would further boost Agricultural activities in the State.
Earlier speaking, the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, ARMI, Mr. Adedapo said the company intended to expand its Agricultural estates to Ogun State hence, the need to get Government’s assistance.
