Students in AIONIAN schools in Ogun State have brought home 32 out of the 49 laurels up for grabs at the 2020 edition of AIONIAN Games, held recently in Ilesha, Osun State.

The students drawn from Yewa College, Ilaro, Abeokuta Grammar School, Remo Secondary School, Sagamu and Ijebu ode Grammar School, Ijebu Ode, which makes up the AIONIAN group of schools in the State participated in various competitions, ranging from academics to sporting Activities.

The Commissioner in the Ministry of Education Science and Technology, Prof Sidi Osho, while congratulating the students and their school Heads for a successful outing, during the formal presentation of the Trophies to the Ministry in her Office, at Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, underscored the need for learners to balance academics with extracurricular activity of their choice.

While appreciating Governor Abiodun for providing the needed support for the schools to participate in the competition and showing uncommon interest in activities of the students in the State, she urged the teachers to remain dedicated to duties, and pay attention to the students, who spent more time in school with them than with their parents.
