Ogun State Deputy Governor, Engr. Noimot Salako-Oyedele has urged the recipients of President’s National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) honour, to maintain the qualities that earned them the award, as well as improve on such qualities to make them more outstanding individuals in life.
Engr. Salako-Oyedele gave the advice when she played host to the National Association of President’s NYSC honour Awardees, Ogun State Chapter led by its Acting President, Mr. Amusan Alao, during a courtesy visit to her office in Oke-Mosan.
She said the administration of Prince Dapo Abiodun was committed to the educational sector, by ensuring that youths were empowered to be self-reliant as they were the future of the State.
While congratulating the group, she commended them for demonstrating outstanding qualities among thousands of Corp members and for being good ambassadors of the State.
Earlier in his address, the Acting President of the Association, Mr. Amusan Alao noted that the NYSC honour was instituted to reward outstanding Corp members in Nigeria, among which six indigenes of the State had distinguished themselves through various selfless and meritorious service to the nation during the 2015, 2016 and 2017 service years and were rewarded with the President’s NYSC medals, automatic employment and scholarship for Post Graduate studies up to Post Graduate Doctoral Degree (Ph.D) level in any institution within or outside the country.
