OGUN CPS CHALLENGES INFORMATION OFFICERS, PROMISES REWARD FOR BETTER PERFORMANCE

Information Officers have been challenged to rededicate themselves to building a strong structure for the information machinery of the present administration, as it strives to ensure accelerated development across the State.

The Chief Press Secretary (CPS) to the Ogun State Governor, Mr. Kunle Somorin stated this at the weekly Information Officer’s meeting, held at the Governor’s Office Press Center Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, promising that periodical motivation awaits best performing Officer or team.

         He emphasized the commitment of Governor Abiodun to citizens’ welfare, stressing the need for Information Officers to intensify efforts in promoting government activities, as the administration was preparing for its one-year anniversary in office.

      Somorin who spoke on the various landmark achievements of the present administration in the last nine months, said officers should endeavor to be analytical in their reportage, with reference to promises made by Governor Abiodun during his inauguration, which were being fulfilled to improve on the standard of living of the people.

  In his response, Director of Information, Planning, Research and Statistics, Mr. Waheed Adesina appreciated the CPS, saying periodical motivation for performing officers would spur others to optimally achieve set goals.
