In continuation of its efforts at ensuring safe motoring on the Highways and safety of lives that would have been lost due to avoidable accidents, the Ogun State Bureau of Transportation (BOT), has introduced the use of thermoplastic pavement marking machine to replace the existing manual system.

Test running the plant in Abeokuta, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Transportation, Barrister Gbenga Opesanwo, said the machine was procured to ease out the conventional road marking system, done manually, which fades away after a while, noting that, with this new system, the marking would last for three years, before it would be re-painted.

He stated that, ‘’the difference between this and the former system is that while the conventional one was done manually, this new machine is highly sophisticated and automated’’.

It would be noted that, the new Thermoplastic Pavement Marking Plant was a new machine, added to the kitty of the BOT, to aid effectiveness and quality service delivery.
