Ogun State Government has called on the new Olu of Ibogun Olaoparun, Oba Abiodun Ifayemi Ogunronbi to mobilise his subjects to support the present administration in the delivery of its policies and programmes through prompt payment of taxes, rates and levies.

Governor Dapo Abiodun who made the call during the installation said, response to these obligations would spur government to adequately deliver the dividends of democracy to the people of the State.

Abiodun reiterated his administration’s commitment to “Building our Future Together” agenda, which he noted had contributed greatly to the continued improvement of the socio-economic development of the people.

The State helmsman who was represented by the Director, Chieftaincy Affairs, Mr. Adesoji Adewuyi enjoined the Monarch to cooperate with other royal fathers within the Local Government area and seek advice from them when necessary, as this would justify the mandate and trust reposed on him by government and the community.

In his welcome address, the Transition Committee Chairman of the Local Government, Hon. Fatiu Salami called on Oba Ogunronbi to use his leadership qualities to improve the lives of the people in Ibogun Olaoparun, in order to make their community a model in developmental activities.

In his acceptance speech, the traditional ruler eulogised the State Governor for giving him the opportunity to serve the people of Ibogun Olaoparun, promising his support for government to achieve its “Building our Future together” agenda.
