Ogun State Government has tasked Social Welfare Officers on rapid response and prosecution as regards gender based violence in any part of the state according to the State Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Development, Mrs Funmi Efuwape during a 3-day training tagged “Rapid Response/Management of Gender Based Violence Occurrence”
At the event, organised for Social Welfare Officers, Afuwape, represented by the Special Adviser to the Governor on Women Affairs, Hon. Adijat Oladapo-Adeleye, affirmed that government was determined to nip in bud all forms of gender based violence, noting that gender equality was critical to ensuring a peaceful and enduring society.
