Towards ensuring safety of lives and property of the people, the Ogun State Government has reiterated its commitment to identify and partner with stakeholders in the transportation sector in order to add value to its policies.

The Governor who was represented by his Deputy, Chief Mrs. Yetunde Onanuga said the roles of stakeholders in the transportation sector to the socio-economic development could not be over emphasized, adding that their strong collaboration with the Government has assisted in strengthening the transportation system in the State.

Amosun while applauding the State’s NURTW, for constructing the hall, expressed optimism that the edifice would help the union to overcome its financial challenges.

The President, Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), Comrade Ayuba Waba, urged government at all levels to partner with road transport workers, in order to complement efforts at ensuring improved socio-economic development of the Country.

In his address, the State Chairman of NURTW, Alhaji Akeem Adeosun said the hall was a landmark achievement in the history of the union, pledging that it would continue to discover other means to generate income, rather than relying solely on the money generated through sales of tickets.
