In its effort to reduce unemployment in Ogun State, the Dapo Abiodun led administration has revealed its intention to procure and equip graduating apprentices across Technical and Vocational Institutes in the State, through collaboration with corporate organisations, philanthropists and financial institutions.

The Special Adviser to the Governor on Technical Education, Prof. Joseph Odemuyiwa made this known at a press briefing, in his office at Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, saying the start-up pack equipment would encourage and enhance their studied trades.

Prof. Odemuyiwa emphasised that there was no illegal Technical and Vocational training Centres in the State, but only those that were yet to be accredited, encouraging such schools to approach the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology without delay, as such approval would help grow their training outlets and also boost the State’s economic status.

Busayo Malaolu,

Press Officer, Office of SA, Technical Education.
