NIGERIA @58: AMOSUN CALLS FOR MORE COMMITMENT TO NIGERIA

Ogun State Governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun has urged Nigerian citizens to use the nation’s 58th Independence Anniversary to reflect and re-examine their collective commitments to her development in order to continue to cement her progress.

Governor Amosun who spoke after receiving salutations at the match pass for the 2018 independence anniversary, held at the M.K.O Abiola International Stadium Kuto, Abeokuta, urged the people to continue work towards a deepened democracy by concentrating on things that unite the people as a nation.

He assured that his administration will continue to ensure better welfare for her workforce, and also strive to bequeath a system driven environment in the State, disclosing that the Public Service Transformation office was currently working to improve the State Public Service to make it globally competitive.

Commending the Economic Recovery and Growth Plan (ERGP) of the federal government for its efforts to stabilize the economy and make the country more vibrant, Governor Amosun enjoined the masses to use the forthcoming elections to strengthen the nation’s economy by voting the right candidates that would continue on the path of progress.

The Governor advised the youths to be wary of being used for political violence, calling on them to give peace a chance, while exercising their franchise in the 2019 general elections.
