MRS ABIODUN CHARGES SOSGFA ON COOPERATION

Spouses of Ogun State Government Functionaries Association (SOSGFA) have been charged to give their full cooperation to the present administration, in order to achieve the development agenda of the State.

The Wife of the State Governor, Mrs. Bamidele Abiodun, gave the charge at the Inaugural meeting of the Association, held at the MITROS Hall, GRA, Ibara, Abeokuta, saying it has become imperative for the group to support the present administration, irrespective of party, religion or group.

She noted that the primary objective of the body was to be united and assist their husbands to succeed in their various assignments, assuring them of her readiness to welcome new ideas and suggestions that would help the Association impact positively on the citizenry.

“I’m open to suggestions, ideas and anything that will promote Ogun State and our welfare generally, as women.

“Also, I’d like you to know that I am reachable at any point in time, if you need to talk to me one on one. Don’t ever believe anyone that says she’s not available or you have to go through somebody; you can call me directly, you have direct access to me”, she stated.

In their separate goodwill messages, the representatives of the various groups that form the Association, spouses of the Speaker of the Ogun State House of Assembly, Mrs. Bolanle Oluomo, the Commissioner for Forestry, Mrs. Joke Akinosi, the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Mrs. Omolola Osota and the Transition Chairman, Ifo Local Government, Mrs. Mutiat Salami, unanimously pledged their support for the Wife of the Governor and the State in general.

They expressed their readiness to ensure successful implementation of her pet project, whenever it was unveiled, adding that the welfare of women, children and the under privileged was also of great concern to them.

The meeting featured lectures on Culture and Dressing, delivered by the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Culture and Tourism, Mrs. Melutia Ogunremi, Health and Fitness, delivered by Dr. Salimat Sanni, Director, Ogun State Primary Health Care Development Board and Protocols, delivered by the Director of Protocol, Mrs. Kehinde Akinola.
