Ado- Odo Local Council Development Area has distributed working tools to Artisans, charging them not to relent in contributing to the socio-economic development of the Council Area and the State in general.
The Council’s Chairman, Engineer Saeed Alagbe, who gave the charge while speaking at the presentation of the tools at the Council’s Secretariat, noted that one of the objectives of the exercise was to ensure that the people have the necessary equipment to do their jobs, as Small and Medium Enterprises was key to development.
Alagbe said his administration would focus on empowering more artisans and youths, as means of creating jobs, reducing unemployment and developing the local economy, urging beneficiaries to make judicious use of the tools to boost their businesses.
Speaking on behalf of the beneficiaries, Hannah Abosede, said, ”We are indeed happy and grateful for this unique opportunity to improve on our businesses. We want to appreciate the Chairman and the entire LCDA for the kind gesture. We promise to continue supporting the LG administration’’.
