The Transition Committee Chairman, Yewa South Local Government, Alhaji Ramon Fagbenro, has commended members of Olorunsogo Community Development Association (CDA), Ilaro, for the various self-help projects undertaken in the area.

He gave the commendation during the CDA’s monthly meeting and commissioning of the second phase of community street lights, assuring them of Governor Dapo Abiodun-led administration’s unrelenting support, through regular grant-in-aid and subventions, especially at this COVID-19 era.

Represented by the Secretary to the Local Government, Hon. Haruna Dada, Fagbenro said erecting street lights on the community road was a proof that harmonious relationship exists in the community, urging them not to relent.

“Development of our communities can best be achieved through the cooperation and effective support of CDAs. I want to implore you to continue to support the State government and the authority of Yewa South Local Government, to encourage towards providing regular grant-in-aid and subventions”, he said.

In his welcome address, the Chairman of the CDA, Prince Samuel Bankole, who commended Gov. Abiodun for his developmental strides across the three senatorial districts of the State, pledged members continued cooperation and support to government.

“We want to thank Governor Dapo Abiodun for his developmental efforts across the state. He has done well, especially in the area of infrastructural development and provision of grant-in-aid and subventions to CDAs. We therefore use this opportunity to assure him of our continued supports and cooperation”, he pledged.

He urged members of the community to keep following all precautionary guidelines against the spread of COVID’19, promising that with government’s supports, leadership of the CDA would implement more people-oriented programmes.
