Lands have been described as crucial to the economy of a State, as no effective development could take place without the use of land, hence efforts must be geared towards ensuring prompt and reliable service delivery.
The newly appointed Special Adviser to Ogun State Governor on Lands, Mr. Ololade Salami stated this during a maiden meeting with management of the Bureau of Lands and Survey as well as Stakeholders on land, held at Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta.
Salami noted that the meeting was to familiarize himself with them, with a charge on everyone to work together in unity and be dedicated in the discharge of their duties, saying, ‘’two good heads are better than one, the best of every person would be projected, where there is team spirit and also bring friendship out of everyone’’.
He commended the contributions of the management to the development of the Bureau, urging them to always bring to fore, challenges confronting them, in order to aid performance and efficiency in land management, especially in the housing sector across the State.
In attendance were the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Housing, Engineer Olayiwola Abiodun, Ag. Managing Director, Ogun State Property and Development Corporation (OPIC), Mrs Ibiyemi Adesoye, Management of Bureau and Housing Corporation representatives.
