The Olota-elect, Oba (DR.) Adeyemi Abdulkabir Obalanlege noted that his position is a first class Oba, and not a paramount ruler, saying the clarification became necessary to correct misconception and misunderstanding among the people of the area.
“The position of Olota of Ota is not a paramount ruler, but that of a first-class Oba, grade A which is the highest of any Oba. We are working on how to make it a paramount ruler of Awori land,’’ Alayeluwa said.
He enjoined residents of Ota and its environs not to destroy government property, but protect them as they were put in place for their comfort.
