The Ogun State Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Mrs. Modupe Mujota has attributed success recorded so far at the on-going second term 2017/2018 unified examinations for all public secondary school students in the State to early preparation on the part of all major stakeholders.

She said questions for each subject were set and vet by relevant bodies since the beginning of the term, while answers scripts were also printed long before the exam period.

The Commissioner, who was fielding questions from reporters while on a monitoring exercise with top officials of his Ministry to some schools in Abeokuta and Odeda Local Government Areas, also lauded principals of schools visited for working in line with government’s objectives.

‘’Yes as you can see, the conduct of the examination exercise has been hitch-free. This is due to early preparation on the part of the Ministry. For instance, both sensitive and non-sensitive materials have been made ready since the beginning of the term’’ she said.

However, the Commissioner enjoined others who are yet to get prepared fully to be ready to brace up for the challenges ahead.

In separate interviews, some of the principals commended the State government on its huge investment in education, as they appealed for provision of more facilities, especially blocks of class rooms where necessary to make teaching and learning more attractive.

Schools visited by the Commissioner and her entourage included, Egba Comprehensive High School, Asero High School, Answer-Udeen Grammar School, Obantoko, Zalukhat Abiola Comprehensive High School, Osiele and Mushin High School, Isolu all in Abeokuta South and Odeda Local Government Areas.
