The Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun has re-affirmed his commitment to improve the welfare of Civil and Public Servants in the Gateway State, saying all arrears and pensions would be paid soonest, as well as payment of Salaries, which would be paid on a fixed date before the end of each month.

Addressing the State workforce during his first official meeting with them at the Arcade Ground, Governor’s office, Oke-mosan, Abeokuta, the Governor acknowledged the importance of Civil Servants to successful Governance.

“As I have always said, the vision of this administration is focused on qualitative governance, so the issue of prompt payment of arrears and salaries is a contract between myself and the workers whether there is allocation or not”, Abiodun said.

“Civil Servant is the engine room of any administration, we must motivate you by organising programmes for your continuous learning and better performance, therefore your Salaries would be paid promptly, FAAC or no FAAC”, Abiodun said.

He assured that people would begin to witness developmental projects across the State, calling for their support and prayer for a successful tenure.

In his remarks the State Head of Service Engineer Lanre Bisiriyu advised workers to work with enthusiasm, so that all promises of the present administration can be fulfilled.

Earlier, an officer from the State Internal Revenue Service, Sowande Olusola implored the Governor to make use of professionals amongst Civil Servants for a greater performance of his administration.
