EDUCATIONAL DEVELOPMENT: AFROGRAMS OLD STUDENTS DONATE 15KW SOLAR POWER SYSTEMS TO ALMA MATA.

In an effort to develop and contribute to the progress of students and also ease teaching and learning activities, the Old Students Association of the African Church Grammar School Abeokuta based in the United States of America and Canada has donated a 15KW solar power system to their alma mata.

The State Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Professor Abayomi Arigbabu during the commissioning of the project, applauded the initiative of the association, who he described as partners in progress in the revitalization and resuscitation efforts of the education sector in the State.

The Education Commissioner who highlighted some of the giant strides of the Prince Dapo Abiodun in the sector, promised that education would always be the priority of the present administration, therefore the government would not relent on its oars to restore education in the state to its former glory.

In his remarks, the Principal of the school, Pastor Olusola Elegbede while appreciating the state government for the laudable initiative in education sector, mentioned that the project will further prepare the students for 21st century challenge. He therefore enjoined the students to ensure adequate maintenance of the gadgets.
