As part of Ogun State Government’s effort to ensure excellent academic performance in schools, the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology has charged Principals and Vice Principals to work in unity to bring the best out of their students.
The Special Adviser to the Governor on Primary Secondary and Technical Education, Mrs. Ronke Soyombo said this in a meeting held with the Management Team from Teaching Service Commission, Principals and Vice Principals at the Conference Room of the Ministry, Oke-Mosan.
Soyombo said it was expedient that principals establish cordial relationships with their vice principals to achieve maximum performance from students, noting that, quality foundation of knowledge would be highly required in learning process.
She stressed that the pivot of a successful education was the effort entrenched by principals to ensure their schools are equipped with competent hands, urging principals to also engage N-power teachers for optimal academic results.
Speaking earlier, the Permanent Secretary, Teaching Service commission, Mrs. Mojisola Dosunmu, advised teachers to be well disposed to their teaching skills to develop students’ mental horizon.
Mrs. Dosunmu however commended the present administration for introducing free education in Ogun State to relief parents, guardian and students on payment of school fees.
The Schools present at the meeting included Gateway Model Premier Grammar School, St. Peter College, Oke-Ona Grammar School, amongst others.
