In order to create more awareness on Coronavirus, Nigeria Medical Association (NMA), in collaboration with the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology (MOES&T) has begun sensitisation training in all public and private schools in the State.
Speaking during one of the trainings in Abeokuta, Chairman, NMA Ogun State Chapter, Dr. Lawal Ismail underscored the need for the public to be aware of appropriate methods in preventing the dreaded virus, urging participants to be attentive, so as not to miss out on important information they were expected to pass on to their pupils.
Dr. Ismail advised that hand sanitizers, soap and water should be made available in all schools across the State and proper sanitary conditions encouraged, to curb the spread of the pandemic.
The Director of Education, Support Services, MOES&T, Mr. Olamilekan Ashiru, informed that the sensitisation programme was aimed at exposing participants, who were drawn from all public and private schools in the State, to necessary steps to contain the virus.
