In a bid to contain the spread of Coronavirus, the leadership of Yewa North Local Government has taken sensitisation exercise to communities across the Council area, to sensitise people on personal hygiene.
The Director, Primary Health Care Department, Mr. Timothy Akinjobi, disclosed this to journalists in his office at Ayetoro, saying such was inevitable to safeguard the safety of the citizenry.
Akinjobi implored residents to heed government’s directive on personal hygiene, imbibe hand washing with liquid soap and running water, adding that standing instruction had been given to market leaders to mount hand washing buckets, soap and water at entry points of markets, to enable every individual wash hands before entering the market.
He advised leaders in motor parks to subject drivers, conductors, as well as passengers to temperature test and report any abnormally immediately, for necessary action.
In their separate interviews, Chairman of Oke-Ola Community Development Association, Ayetoro, Mr. Joseph Akinyemi, Iyaloja of Ayetoro, Mrs. Ajoke Jayeola, as well as motorists, appreciated government at all levels for their proactive steps to prevent the spread of the virus, pledging their cooperation and adherence to hygienic and safety instructions.
