Nigerian youths have been challenged to contribute meaningfully to nation building by engaging in activities that could stimulate and position the socio-economic and political wellbeing of the country in sound footing.
Ogun State Commissioner for Regional Integration, Bashorun Adebola Adeife stated while receiving the Association of Beauty Queens and Kings, who were on a working visit to his office at Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta.
Adeife who was awarded ‘’Youth Ambassador of the Association’’ during the visit, enjoined youths to rise up and play leading role in shaping the socio-economic future of the nation, as this would help in guarantying a secured future for generations yet unborn.
‘’Youths need to see themselves as a force that can bring the desired change, because the hope for the young people is that they have the population to their advantage. Though young people have their differences and rivalries, they must have one common interest of nation building’’, he remarked.
In his response, the National President of the Association, Mr. Ukeme Michael, appreciated the support of the present administration to the association, adding that the ‘’Save the Girl Child Campaign Enlightenment Tour’’, which was the pet project of the Association, would be extended to different schools across the State.
