Community developments’ self help programmes are initiatives that governments at all levels can key in, to fast track the socio-economic development.
The Ogun State Commissioner for Community Development and Cooperatives, Hon. Gbenga Adenmosun stated this at the presentation of Certificate of Registration to Fadage Area Community Development Committee in Opeji Local Council Development Area.
The Commissioner who was represented by the Director, Community Development, Alhaji Mojeed Shorinola, stressed that community development associations would continue to play important part in bringing about development, in line with the five cardinal programmes of the present administration.
‘’No government can provide all the needs of the people without the help of the citizenry and this is what the Community Development Associations in Ogun State have been doing’’, he said.
The Chairman, Fadage Area Community Development Committee, Mr. Elijah Ekundayo in his address, acknowledged the impact of the association at developing the communities, calling on the State government to continue to give necessary support to community development associations, to further spread the dividends of democracy to all nooks and crannies of the State.
Chairman, Bode Olude Community Development Committee, Chief Kunle Lambo, enjoined the people of Fadage to keep supporting the good course of the State government, adding that by doing so, they would attract more development to their community
