COMMISSIONER EXTOLS VIRTUE OF RETIRED PS

Ogun State Commissioner for Housing, Jagunmolu Akande Omoniyi has extolled virtues of the retired Permanent Secretary in the Ministry, ESV. Bolaji Orekoya, for his contributions to the execution of affordable housing projects embarked on by Prince Dapo Abiodun led administration.

Omoniyi stated this at the reception held in honour of the retired PS, who bowed out of Service, describing him as diligent and productive officer, who has changed the status of the Ministry for better.

“My immediate past PS has surprised me by putting facelift into the ministry, he is very proactive, hardworking and accommodating. A personality that any Commissioner would pray to have. We will all miss his expertise, as well as good initiatives, which he demonstrated in the delivery of affordable housing project of the State Government”, the Commissioner said.

In his tribute, the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Mr. Kolawole Fagbohun thanked God for Orekoya’s outstanding performances during his stay in the service, saying, ‘’upon all odds, he still maintained his integrity’’.

Fagbohun urged the State’s workforce to raise standard of the service by keeping to its rules and regulations, adding that Civil Servants must be courageous in the discharge of their duties and respect authorities.

In his exaltation titled, “God purpose and fulfilment as written in the holy Bible, Jeremiah 21, verse 11, Pastor Gbadebo Eniola, admonished people to be patience and steadfast in order to receive manifestation of God’s plan in their lives.

Eniola appreciated the blessings of God over the celebrant, noting that he was able to attained the peak of his career with good track records before retirement as the Permanent Secretary.

ESV Orekoya, while giving thanks to God for preserving his life through the period of his career, appreciated the support of his family, admonishing workers to rededicate themselves and put God first in the course of their work.

Dignitaries present at the occasion included; Commissioner for Special Duties and Inter- Governmental Affairs, Barr. Femi Ogunbanwo, Special Adviser on Housing, Hon. Tajudeen Egunjobi and Senior Special Adviser on Housing, Hon. Tobi Doregos, serving and former Permanent Secretaries, among others.
