The Bureau of Information Technology, in collaboration with a private firm and the Nigerian Women in IT has concluded plans to organize a 3-Day summit for women in Ogun State to celebrate women in technology.
A release signed by the Director, Bureau of Information and Communication, Mrs. Olatundun Adekunte, indicated that the summit, with the theme, ‘’Technology as a Tool for Socio- Economy Development’’ will commence from Monday 9th to Wednesday 11th December, 2019.
The release stated that the summit will foster educational and professional development of women in the State, while facilitating their access to basic knowledge, programming, mentoring, networking and career opportunity in Information Technology.
It also has it that, the event will showcase speakers from government, public and private sectors, including the Wife of the State Governor, Mrs. Bamidele Abiodun, the Deputy Governor, Engr. Noimot Salako-Oyedele, Southwest Coordinator, Nigeria Computer Society, Dr. (Mrs.) Adebukola Onashoga, amongst others.
According to the release, the first day will focus on ‘’Building a Sustainable Business’’, while the second day will have a discussion segment with professional panellist on the topic; “How to Succeed as a Female Entrepreneur’’ and the third day will dwell on “Using Technology as a tool for Social-economic Development”, to be rounded off with an award presentation.
