Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun has charged the State Property and Investment Corporation (OPIC), to be resourceful and creative as the Corporation is one of the key agencies his administration relies on to boost the revenue base of the State.
Abiodun gave the charge during the Treasury Board meeting on 2021-2023 Medium Term Expenditure Framework and 2021 Budget, at Oba’s Complex, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta.
“OPIC is part of the sector we rely on to add to our revenue base, particularly at this time of pandemic. You have to be resourceful and creative as regards revenue generation. It is important for OPIC to come up with innovative ideas that goes beyond building estates and selling of lands. You need to think outside the box and take a very bold step”, he said.
While commending the Corporation on the construction of the Kings Court Estate, Abiodun said it typifies the resilient smart city his government is turning Abeokuta into, as they are embarking on urban regeneration.

Abiodun Fari-Arole, appreciated the Governor for his support and timely response on the request for the construction of Kings Court Estate and the confidence reposed in OPIC to deliver world class estates across the State.
Arc. Fari-Arole, sought for urgent allocation of land to the Corporation in Ijebu-Ode, Epe and Siun, for the proposed world Industrial, Commercial and residential estate, saying the request was informed by the passion and determination to make the administration’s “building our future together” agenda a reality in the area of provision of affordable housing.
