The Ogun State Governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun has charged hajj pilgrims from the state to conduct themselves orderly and avoid any act that could tarnish the image of the State while in the holy land.
Governor Amosun gave the charge while addressing the first batch of the pilgrims, at a farewell ceremony, organized for them in Abeokuta, saying they should be of good character that the people of the State are known for.
He admonished them to abide by the rules and regulations at the holy land and shun all negative tendencies, wishing them journey mercies.
According to the Governor, three hundred pilgrims would be airlifted in three to four batches, until the last pilgrims are airlifted.
The Amirul Hajj, Alhaji Tajudeen Lemboye in his remark, thanked the Governor for the perfect arrangement put in place, for a successful hajj exercise, assuring that the State pilgrims would be of good conduct.
