The Akarigbo and Paramount ruler of Remoland, Oba Babatunde Adewale Ajayi has said that, the various infrastructural development embarked upon by the Senator Ibikunle Amosun led government, has improved livelihood and the State economy.
The Monarch who stated this at the 34th Sagamu Day Celebration, held at his palace in Sagamu, said with this development, businesses have been enhanced and life more comfortable for the people.
Oba Ajayi pointed out that the expansion of Sabo-Akarigbo road has given a facelift to the area, thereby boosting the socio-economic development of the community, affirming commencement of the construction of Sabo-Ode-Lemo road by the State government.
While pledging total support to all government programmes and policies, he explained that immediately after his coronation, Remo Growth and Development Foundation (RGDF) was inaugurated, to further enhance progressive development of the community, saying that in the spirit of promoting unity among Remo indigenes, a collective celebration of all communities in Remo would be held in the nearest future.
The Monarch urged youths to be more focused and eschew violence, especially during the electioneering period, advising them to be more responsible and not allow themselves to be used for political thuggery.
Earlier in his address, the Chairman, Sagamu Day Planning Committee, Engr. Taye Akewusola enjoined Remo indigenes to take advantage of the area’s proximity to Lagos, which is the commercial capital of Nigeria, for its socio-economic development and industrial growth.
