The Ogun State Government says construction of Adire Shopping Mall at Itoku and the sample house at the President Mohammed Buhari Estate, as well as the Judiciary Complex would soon be completed.
The Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Housing, Engr. Olayiwola Abiodun, disclosed this when he appeared before members of the State House of Assembly Committee on Finance and Appropriation, led by Hon. Victor Fasanya, at the Assembly Complex, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta.
Abiodun explained that the Adire mall was 85 percent, the sample house at the President Muhammadu Buhari Estate at 65 percent, while the Judiciary Complex was at 68 percent completion.
The PS said construction activities were ongoing at Lafenwa Abattoir, Ibara Health Centre, Ake Palace Pavilion, adding that the Ministry was assisting the Ministry of Youth and Sports to rehabilitate Block D, Male Hostel of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) Camp in Sagamu.
The Permanent Secretary also presented the performance of the State Housing Projects, where he stated that construction work was ongoing at the Abeokuta City centre to enhance the beauty of the State capital.
In his remark, Hon. Fasanya, called on the House Committee on Lands and Housing, to visit all housing projects in the State, with a view to assessing their levels of completion and report back to the House.
In a related development, the State Ministry of Urban and Physical Planning, Urban and Regional Planning Board, Housing Corporation, Office of the State’s Auditor General and its Local Government counterpart also presented their budget performance before members of the Assembly.
