Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Hon. Afolabi Afuape has charged staffers of the Ministry to add value to themselves and the public service at large to stand out amidst others.
Hon. Afuape who gave the charge during the prayer session organised by the agency, to begin the new working activities for the year 2021, said when people improve themselves, it would be easier for them to be noticed and whenever opportunity comes for promotion, such people would be the first to be considered.
“I want to encourage you to add value to yourself and the Ministry in this new year, in no time people will notice you and when opportunity comes, you will be considered.”, the Commissioner said.
In his remarks, Permanent Secretary, Mr. Kola Fagboun encouraged the staff to cultivate the habit of living in peace with one another, saying this would create a conducive environment for effective service delivery.
He urged workers to be focused and aspire for greater heights, noting that no matter one’s level, there would always be room for improvement and better ways of doing things.
