Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun has approved the release of funds to offset accumulated electricity bill owed by some government health facilities across the State in the last eight years, which had led to their disconnection from the national grid of the Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company (IBEDC).

The Permanent Secretary, Hospitals Management Board, Dr. Nafiu Aigoro made this known while inspecting general hospitals and health facilities at Odogbolu and Ikenne Local Government Areas of the State.

Aigoro enjoined management of the hospitals to promptly pay up all utility bills in their various facilities, as the present administration was leaving no stone unturned at improving the health sector.

The Chief Medical Director, Odogbolu General Hospital, Dr. Adekoya Somade, appreciated the Governor for the kind gesture, saying the reconnection would aid smooth running in hospitals and effective service delivery to patients, as well as facilitate increased patronage of public hospitals.
