Ogun State Government has reiterated its commitment to prioritise Infrastructure, Education, and Social welfare, vowing to complete all ongoing projects before the expiration of its tenure.

The Governor,  Prince  Dapo Abiodun made this known at the Treasury Board Meeting on the preparation of the 2021 to 2023 Medium Term Expenditure Framework and 2021 budget proposal for Ministries,  Agencies and Departments (MDAs).

Abiodun stated that his administration would continue to embark on infrastructural facilities to enhance socio-economic potentials, saying the last town hall  meeting  avail government  the opportunity to set up a Committee on Infrastructure, consisting of traditional rulers, Community Development Association, and other stakeholders to identify and give preference to roads in their  respective communities.

He said the year 2021, would be a more robust fiscal one that would sustain policy and programmes towards the successful implementation of the “Building our Future Together” agenda.

Governor Abiodun stated that emphasis would be placed on the relative value and cost of each expenditure item upon which the government would commit its resources, charging MDAs to ensure that their contributions assist in achieving strategic allocation of resources towards a cost-effective and efficient 2021 budget.

While appreciating the Public servants for their commitment and unending support towards the successful implementation of the year 2020 budget, Abiodun said their contributions had assisted the State in attaining optimal growth and continued development.
